If you don’t shoot this on turn one (or any turn for that matter) just be sure to mention it’s heating up NBA Jams style and when you get into range next turn, you’ll be at -3 Rend. If you haven’t taken any wounds this is super strong as you’ll be hitting on a 2+ and are heated up, this could dish out the damage. The sonic screwdriver's appearance is changed to match its design from The War Games (it was claimed in the DVD commentary that there were no known photographs of the original sonic screwdriver in existence).

The Doctor tells Jones that he believes the weed is a living organism capable of telepathic control. He believes it is parasitic and claims the humans as part of its colony. Suddenly, there is a communication from Control Rig: Baxter is in a panic, saying the creatures are all around them. His cries subside only as the communication is cut off. With 43 minis (and 2 new ones) there is a decent amount of miniatures inside the box! They say it will be released in “early 2022”, and now we know it will hit store shelves on January 22nd, 2022. Let’s get into the value! Fury of the Deep Box Set Pricing Breakdown: This gives you some decent buffs and flexibility rules-wise for the new Akhelian Thrallmaster. Getting extra hits on 6’s is always nice, but so is re-rolling all ones. It really depends if you think you’re going to roll a lot of 1’s (you need to trust in your dice more) or think you’re on a hot streak and will get a ton of 6’s (maybe trust in your dice less…). Either are both pretty strong. Each Flamekeeper also carries a Masterflame Rune, an ember of the First Fire that erupted when Grimnir died. This shimmering rune is empowered by the deaths of nearby duardin, allowing the Flamekeeper to channel their spirits into powerful boons for their Auric Hearthguard and Vulkite Berzerker allies. Rather like the Thrallmaster before it, the Akhelian Alloplex is a fairly long-winded build but isn’t too bad. There are a couple of points during construction – when attaching the stand to the rear of the Alloplex upon which the second crewmember stands, and lining up said second crewmember with his crossbow and the stand upon which he is attached – that are a bit fiddly, but other than that it’s a straightforward model to put together. Fury From the Deep is an enjoyable story from writer Victor Pemberton with tension, scares, convincing acting and good dialogue. It is quite similar to some of the Third Doctor stories like Inferno in many ways. As the Doctor and Jamie approach the rigs, they see that one rig is covered in foam. The Doctor assumes this must be the nerve centre. As the helicopter closes in, the Doctor throws out a rope ladder. The Doctor descends the rope ladder into the foam below. The foam has no effect on him. Jamie follows. The Doctor and Jamie wave goodbye to the pilot, then disappear into a hatch. They emerge from the hatch into the top of a flight of stairs. They set about exploring. They descend the stairs, looking round cautiously. They hear the cry of Victoria. Jamie sets off but the Doctor stops him, suspecting it to be a trap. They slowly make their way along the corridor, carefully peering round each corner. They approach a door and slowly swing it open to reveal a foam filled room. Robson starts to walk towards them. "Come in Doctor," he says. "We've been waiting for you." Against them is an Idoneth raiding party consisting of 10 Namarti Thralls , 10 Namarti Reavers , and a blood-thirsty Akhelian Allopex .

The biggest NERFs here are for Berzerkers as they are going up ten points for five models. Then Vulkites with shields have also gone up 10 points as well. The only deduction is the Auric Hearthguard going down by 5 points. Not that big of a deal overall honestly. As you’ll see with the range rulers below as well, I feel like a ball was definitely dropped somewhere between the artistic direction of the rest of the Fury of the Deep box and the push-out tokens and range rulers. Sure, they do what you need them to, but they’re so boring. As the Idoneth infiltrate the Ancestor Halls at Ryftmar’s foundations they are met by Yaelgar, an Auric Flamekeeper of the Vostarg Lodge. Rudely interrupted in the middle of a funerary rite, this bellowing preacher takes up his brazier axe and turns his fury on the aether-sea raiders. The card range rulers in Fury of the Deep are much more likely to get bent, fray, peel apart, or just break. Whilst it’s cool to have some slightly different rulers, and good to see that waste on the perforated board from which the tokens and rulers are birthed (ew…) is being minimised, if I’m honest I think I’d have preferred some of the typical plastic ones over these. If you’re all about the paint, the Idoneth Deepkin have some truly sublime models for you to get your brushes onto, such as Eidolon of Mathlann and Volturnos, High King of the Deep.

Fury of the Deep Booklet

When the Doctor and Jamie land on the rig, the Doctor tells Jamie to "come on in, the water's lovely", mirroring his lines when he, Jamie and Victoria arrived on an Australian beach in the 21st century and the Doctor went for a swim. ( TV: The Enemy of the World)

A vast number of giant seaweed-like tentacles emerge from the sea when the Doctor is flying the helicopter.Overseen by the Chief Engineer, the technicians are nearly falling asleep from exhaustion and boredom. Everyone in the room is suddenly alert as the pulsating starts up again.
