About this deal

Thoroughly recommend this machine - it's silent in operation and pretty compact BUT (there's always a 'but') why is there no indication that this machine is painted in what is best described as 'Battleship' grey and not white? Hearst UK is the trading name of the National Magazine Company Ltd, 30 Panton Street, Leicester Square, London, SW1Y 4AJ.

It does a great job of warming the area although truth be told we have not had any really cold weather as yet. I sometimes borrow it and use it in my home office rather than heating the whole house, and it is pretty effective.

Also, I'd recommend using it with a timer switch, that way you could use an awkward wall plug up without having to fumble behind your furniture to switch it on or off.

There is a slight new smell but with each use it decreases and, if you keep your door open, that allows for ventilation. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I bought this for my daughter's bedroom; it's got a large bay window and is on the side of the house that never gets sun, so it does tend to get cold at night. The 3 heat settings require the following the power input with thermostat at max (measured from the plug). They do make a sort of pleasant crackling sound of heating oil when turned on from cold if used on the highest setting (which is disconcerting at first if you aren't used to oil-filled heaters but is perfectly normal!

Air is drawn in at the bottom, heated by the main radiant heat of the radiator and then expelled at the top. Whilst, it does put out a decent amount of heat, even just on the 2nd of it's three heat settings, I find that it (still) gives off a strange odour, very hard to describe not burning smell as such but a noticeable odour that isn't pleasant. New range of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries SRK-ZTL Premium Plus wall mounted air conditioning units, some with inbuilt wi-fi technology.

The Vento V550920 Oil-Filled Radiator by De'Longhi is an essential item to have when the temperature drops, providing comfort and warmth to any room. We have a Delonghi oil-filled electric radiator in the conservatory, and it does smell a bit when it is heating up - like a kind of rubbery smell, but not burning rubber. Utlising the latest design and technology, as well as renowned De'Longhi reliability, the Vento V550920 Oil-Filled Radiator provides peace of mind and long lasting comfort. I read quite a few reviews before deciding upon this one; what I definitely didn't want is a radiator that pinks and creaks when its warming up and cooling down. I use them with Wemo plug sockets to allow me set timers and switch them on or off remotely, very useful for heating up my outbuilding on a frosty morning.A higher rating will obviously heat the oil to peak temperature faster, but once reached much less energy is generally needed to maintain oil temperature.

It doesn't have to be put up full and if it is on low the thermostat kicks in once the temperature drops. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The controls are simple - 3 heat settings, and a thermostat - this has worked reliably and keeps the room its in a nice balanced tempature. Electric radiators (all of them) are pretty much 100% efficient, so turn all of the electrical energy in to heat.
