Thoroughly recommend this machine - it's silent in operation and pretty compact BUT (there's always a 'but') why is there no indication that this machine is painted in what is best described as 'Battleship' grey and not white? It does a great job of warming the area although truth be told we have not had any really cold weather as yet. I sometimes borrow it and use it in my home office rather than heating the whole house, and it is pretty effective.

Also, I'd recommend using it with a timer switch, that way you could use an awkward wall plug up without having to fumble behind your furniture to switch it on or off.

There is a slight new smell but with each use it decreases and, if you keep your door open, that allows for ventilation. I bought this for my daughter's bedroom; it's got a large bay window and is on the side of the house that never gets sun, so it does tend to get cold at night.
